WRA Education Foundation Scholarship in Culinary & Hospitality

The WRA Education Foundation awards approximately $25,000 in scholarships annually, based on future plans in foodservice, academic records and recommendations. Funding is provided by the Foundation's Endowment Fund. Eligible applicants must be Wisconsin residents, enrolled with a minimum of 6 credits at a nationally accredited, post-secondary school, and pursuing studies in fields related to the restaurant and hospitality industries, such as Culinary, Baking, Hospitality, Food Science and Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Apart from completing the application, applicants must also include school transcripts (unofficial transcripts received by the deadline are acceptable) and employer or instructor recommendations. If selected, applicants will be notified by the end of June. Scholarship checks are issued to the school in two semester installments to be applied toward the student's tuition and expenses; if the student does not attend school for the full year, they will forfeit any unpaid portion of the scholarship. The WRA Education Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that has been in existence since 1987 and is one of the nation's largest state restaurant association foundations. The Foundation serves foodservice operators throughout Wisconsin in its mission to promote foodservice as a professional career path, attract and educate future leaders of the industry and provide affordable, quality training and education for those already working in the industry.
