NSHSS Foundation STEM Scholarship

The growing influence of technology in our everyday lives is undeniable, and the STEM fields offer countless opportunities for those passionate about innovation. The NSHSS Foundation created the NSHSS Foundation STEM Scholarship to recognize and support students who excel in and contribute to the ever-evolving world of STEM, celebrating their dedication to scientific, technological, engineering, and mathematical advancements. Award: Two (2) $1,000 awards. Eligibility: High school students of all grade levels with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicants must submit an educator recommendation letter. Required application materials include a prompt response of 500-800 words to the following question: "Why did you choose STEM? Share your journey and the ways you've demonstrated your passion for the field throughout high school. Highlight your achievements, projects, or experiences that showcase your dedication and success in STEM." A Current Transcript (can be official or unofficial), an Academic Resume, and a color headshot suitable for website posting are also required. It is optional but students may submit pictures, videos or media showing their leadership in action. Application Opens: May 8, 2026. Closing Date: October 20, 2026 by 11:59PM (EST).
