NSCA Minority Scholarship provides financial assistance to minorities who are interested in working on an undergraduate or graduate degree in strength training and conditioning. The NSCA Foundation awards hundreds of thousands in Scholarship funding each year to outstanding individuals within the strength and conditioning community. Applications open August 1 (12am MTN) and close October 15 (11:59 am MTN) annually. There is only one application cycle per year. Must be NSCA member or NSCA International Affiliate member. Must be a degree-seeking student (Associates/Undergraduate/Masters/Doctoral). Preferred majors include: Exercise Science, Human Performance, Physical Therapy, Strength and Conditioning, Athletic Training, Personal Training, Exercise Physiology, Human Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Anatomy, Physiology, Physical Education, Kinesiology, Sport Science, Sport Coaching, Education. 3 recommendations required (cannot come from NSCA Staff, Affiliate Staff, Foundation Staff, Board Members, or Scholarship Committee). Current resume and transcripts from each school attended required. Funds can be used for educational purposes including textbooks, tuition, and conference participation.
