Jessie D. Nelson Scholarship

The Jessie D. Nelson Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls in California who are studying a health or medical field at a school in any state. The scholarship is $5,000, paid in two installments directly to the college on August 1st and January 1st. GPA Requirement: 3.2 and above. Awarded to a student who is continuing studies in the health and medical field. Only available to continuing college students. Applicants must be California Rainbow Girls in good standing, not have attained their majority, and be current in Assembly dues as of the scholarship announcement. Applicants must carry a full-time course load and attend an accredited institution (community college, university, or vocational school). Applications are accepted February 1 - March 15 each year. This scholarship is paid directly to the college.
