Jennifer Curtis Byler Scholarship
$5,000
Award AmountDec 31
DeadlineDescription
The Jennifer Curtis Byler Scholarship provides financial assistance to children of employees of the aggregates industry company who are interested in studying public policy, government affairs, or related fields. Students seeking a certificate, associate, or bachelor's degree are welcome to apply. NSSGA created the Jennifer Curtis Byler Scholarship Fund to memorialize the life and accomplishments of the daughter of Jack Curtis, L.C. Curtis and Son, a Georgia sand and gravel producer. Jennifer was a mother of four who was involved in the political process. She served on various boards and commissions, including the Republican National Committee, and was an effective fundraiser for Republican candidates. Graduating high school seniors or students already majoring in public policy, government affairs or related fields in college who are sons or daughters of an aggregates company employee may apply for the scholarship. Scholarship applications will be reviewed and judged by a panel including the current NSSGA chairman of the Government Affairs Committee, chair of the Rocks Build America Foundation and a senior NSSGA staff member.
