Dr. Joseph W. Coleman Memorial Scholarship

The Kentucky League of Cities established the Dr. Joseph W. Coleman Memorial Scholarship to honor Joseph's lifelong commitment to continuous learning and local government.Scholarship DetailsKLC awards $5,000 a year to one recipient. The scholarship does not automatically renew. However, previous winners may apply for subsequent years.Eligibility• Any Kentucky student pursuing a Master of Public Administration degree from a Kentucky-basedinstitution may apply• KLC staff members and family members of KLC staff are not eligible.How to Apply• Applications must be submitted via email with all required attachments.@• Letters of recommendation can be emailed directly to KLC• All documents must be received by June 6thStudents will be notified by email of any scholarship award or denial on or before July 18th.Application Requirements• Provide documentation showing enrollment in a MPA program for the coming school year• Official transcript from the most recent educational institution• Either a 500-word essay or a video (not to exceed three minutes)• Applicants may submit a letter of recommendation which may be sent separately from the application.
