Bill Walker Scholarship

The Bill Walker Scholarship was created in 2001 by the Michigan Bear Hunters Association (MBHA), a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) corporation, to benefit society by encouraging people to pursue higher education. The scholarship, named after a longtime leader and former president of MBHA, provides financial assistance to students, especially those with ties to the Michigan Bear Hunters Association (MBHA), who are interested in studying any field at a college or technical institution in any state. MBHA sends the scholarship money directly to the college or technical institution. Scholarships are awarded each March, with $4,000 in budgeted funds distributed in any amount the scholarship committee sees fit. Requirements: GPA of 2.0 or better, Grade Transcripts, Letters of Recommendation, and a Career Aspiration Essay.
